No More

For my first post, I am going to start with some lyrics that I actually wrote last year. They are about the war in Iraq... Please comment and/or follow!

(In the form of a Ballad)

Verse: Missiles whirring like metal birds in the air,
All for what? All for ‘peace?’ – How did we get here?
The whole world is trapped in a no man’s land,
Wielding swords, wielding hate, instead of stretching hands.

Chorus: Don’t pull the pin on that grenade,
Ashes, oil, sweat, will taint your angel face,
Raise your fist with a new kind of gun,
With a flower, with a song, with a heart to make us one.

Verse: Screams are soaring back and forth all around,
Filling children’s minds with hate.
We’re mass producing thorny crowns,
Placing them on all of our enemies,
Just because they think differently than you and me.

Chorus: Don’t pull the pin on that grenade,
Ashes, oil, sweat will taint your angel face,
Raise your fist with a new kind of gun,
With a flower, with a song, with a heart to make us one.

Refrain: Since the dawn of time, mankind has fought for what he wants to be his.
Doesn’t care who will die, who will cry, only if he’ll live...

Chorus: Hushed: Don’t pull the pin on that grenade
Ashes, oil, sweat will taint your angel face
Raise your fist with a new kind of gun
With a flower, with a song, with a heart to make us one
